Ty Cobb was one of our National Pastime's early immortals. The left-handed wizard batted over .300 for 23 consecutive seasons, stole home 54 times, and struck out just 680 times in 13,103 career plate appearances (exactly 5%)--all records that will never be broken in modern baseball. The gritty, hard-nosed competitor certainly rubbed some of his peers and many opposing fans the wrong way with his on-field antics, but nobody wanted to win as badly. He was the teammate you wanted to go to battle with on the diamond, attracting a loyal following of Detroit Tigers and MLB fans alike throughout his playing and managerial days. His legacy lives on through his coveted memorabilia and vintage cards that continue to appreciate in today's market.

Offered here is a spectacular, high-grade single signed baseball from The Georgia Peach. The Official American League (Ban Johnson) blue and red stitched baseball dates to 1925 production from the Reach stamp ("Signature of Quality" added). Cobb has autographed the south panel in striking black steel-tip fountain pen that appears 7-8/10 in our book. The creamy ball contains a light coating of shellac with areas of slight cracking from age. The manufacturer stampings remain bold and perfectly legible. What an impressive addition to any Cobb collection!

Comes with full LOAs from PSA/DNA and JSA.
