Though Cobb’s historic career hits tally of 4,191 was ultimately eclipsed, many batting records remain in the Georgia Peach’s sole possession to this day, most notably his .366 career batting average. He was the part of the first Hall of Fame enshrinement and the sport’s most monumental metric of offensive greatness.
