Scott Rolen is a former major league third baseman who played for 17 seasons, his first seven of which were spent with the Philadelphia Phillies (1996 to ’02). This lot includes Rolen’s circa 1996 to 2000 autographed Phillies game-worn road jersey (No. 17). The size 48 gray knit button-down polyester garment with “Phillies” embroidered in red to a white twill plate across the chest (with blue five-point stars to dot the “i’s). Rolen’s number “17” is sewn to the back and left sleeve in red-on-white twill, while “ROLEN” is arched atop the back number in like fashion. Red-and-white striped stretch ribbed knit lines the sleeve endings. On the back of the jersey, Rolen has signed the No. “1” in black marker (solid 8-9/10). The tapered left front tail is home to a “Russell Athletic” size “48” label and a fabric content flap tag. The all-original garment shows appropriate signs of game usage with some noticeable fraying of the letters in Rolen’s nameplate. This jersey is part of the Tony Gwynn Collection.

Includes Letter of Authenticity from the Gwynn Family.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

A portion of the proceeds generated by the Tony Gwynn Collection will be donated to the Tony and Alicia Gwynn Foundation.
