The late Ray Boone was a longtime infielder in the American League who played for multiple teams including the Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Athletics. The father of Bob Boone and the grandfather of both Bret and Aaron Boone, Ray ignited the family’s legacy of playing professional baseball. This lot features one of Ray Boone’s circa 1950’s game-used H&B model Louisville Slugger bats, which reflects plenty of game use with ball contact marks in the barrel and his old uniform number “8” written in black marker on the knob. In addition to the bat, this lot includes a multi-signed American League (Brown) baseball that’s been autographed by all four of the aforementioned Boone family members on the south panel in chronological order starting with Ray at the top. The baseball shows some severe toning in places and Bob Boone’s signature appears to have faded over time.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the San Diego Hall of Champions.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
