In 1961 the United States Postal Service issued a 4 cent stamp in honor of Dr. James Naismith’s 100th birthday.  For years, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts would have Hall of Famers and guests at the Hall of Fame sign these First Day Covers to sell in their gift shop as a means to raise money for the museum.  Offered is a group of 26 different signed FDC’s.  This would be a great starter lot for a Basketball HOF autograph collection or lucrative dealer lot.

Autographed covers listed as follows:
Paul Arizin (D. 2006), John Bunn (D. 1979),  Howard Cann (D. 1992), Ben Carnevale (D. 2008), Everett Dean (D. 1993), Paul Endacott (D. 1997),  Harold Bud Foster (D. 1996), Howard Hobson (D. 1991), Nat Holman (D. 1995),  Raymond Kaighn (D. 1962) member of Naismith’s first team,  Frank Keaney (D. 1967), Harry Litwack (D. 1999), Easy Ed Macauley (D. 2011), Arad McCutchan (D.. 1993), Ralph Morgan (D. 1965) , John McLendon (D. 1999), George Mikan (D. 2005), John Nucatola (D.2000),  Johnny Roosma  (D. 1983) , Arthur (A.A.)
