We are fortunate to see a lot of rare and historic baseball memorabilia. We love it all, and sometimes take some items for granted, but every once in a while an item will stop even us in our tracks.
This delightful autographed sheet of paper of Babe Ruth, and the story behind it, this one bringing him to South Bend, Indiana in 1940 for a post Major League career/retirement appearance, is one of them.
PSA/DNA has authenticated and beautifully encapsulated the artful penmanship of "The Bambino", complete with an inscription of 'Sincerely' in large, bold pencil and has deemed the autograph a near perfect 9! One of the finest Ruth signatures to come along.
