Beautiful pair of 4 1/2" by 7" circa 1880's baseball themed trade cards, both with the same look, style, and design of the smaller, full color 1887 Tobin lithographs. The first card is titled "A HOME RUN" and features a caricature of a player making a dash for home. The 2nd, titled "A SURE THING", has a catcher, in full vintage catching gear and gloves, standing ready to receive a throw. Both are clean with outstanding color and sharp graphics. Each has "Compliments of Emil H. Bessehl" printed inside a design at the back center and a small "201" printed near the front left corner. Both have been rated PR SGC 1 due to a small piece missing at the right side border.(The 2nd also has a top right clipped corner) Interesting and eye catching pair of early baseball themed trade cards.
CIRCA 1880S PAIR OF BASEBALL THEMED TRADE CARDS (HAVE THE LOOK OF TOBIN LITHOGRAPHS) - BOTH POOR SGC 1
