Just before taking one giant leap for mankind, Buzz Aldrin descends from the ladder of the Lunar Module Eagle onto the lunar surface in this highly important and historical original photograph taken during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. The "red number" Apollo 11 photograph is printed on fiber based paper with "A Kodak Paper" watermarks on the otherwise blank reverse. The image number AS11-40-5866 is printed in red type face in the upper left edge of the photo. Photo measures 8" x 10" and is in fine condition with only a few small imperfections on the corners and edges. Nothing detracts from the overall image. The chromographic glossy print is graded and encapsulated PSA/DNA TYPE I.
