Classy looking Babe Ruth autographed baseball offered here. The ancient A.G. Spalding manufactured "No. 5 King of the Diamond" stamped ball with red stitching dates as far back as 1910. Ruth's black ink signature (rating approx. 5/10) on the sweet spot follows the form it took in the late 1920's when the Sultan of Swat, the Iron Horse and the rest of Murderer's Row gave New Yorkers pockets of joy during the dark days of the Grear Depression. The soiled and heavily scuffed ball apparently has a few faded or removed signatures on other panels -- this according to Beckett's letter (soon to be posted). To be fair, JSA's authentication letter does not specify more than one autograph. Whatever the case, it presents as a Babe single and that's most important from an aesthetic standpoint. LOA's from JSA and Beckett.
