As a rookie in 1954 Bob Grim went 20-6, earning Rookie of the Year laurels while establishing himself in the Bronx as a reliable stopper. Grim remained with the Yankees for parts of five seasons, making appearances in two World Series. Offered here is a Hillerich & Bradsby block-letter (last name only) bat issued to Grim for the 1956 Fall Classic. This 35-inch, 33.4-ounce "K55" model declares "WORLD SERIES - GRIM - NEW YORK YANKEES 1956" on the barrel. The hitting surface is home to faded black ink signatures of teammates Tommy Byrnes, Joe Collins, Bill Dickey (coach), Elston Howard, Billy Hunter, Tom Morgan and Tom Sturdivant. Signatures rate about 3-4/10 and are legible upon close examination. Marked with bat-rack streaks, the uncracked item shows light use (likely from batting practice), as Grim did not appear in that year's World Series. LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (GU5).

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
