Offered is a Bob Cerv signature model Hillerich & Bradsby K55 bat specially produced and issued to the Yankees utility man for use in the 1956 World Series. Though the bat shows little, if any, apparent use, the engraved block lettering surrounding Cerv’s signature stamping on barrel proclaiming "WORLD SERIES - NEW YORK YANKEES 1956" elevates it immensely. The 35-inch, 32-1/2-ounce specs are proper for Cerv's preferred models. Cerv's autograph in bold black sharpie appears on the barrel. Cerv registered a hit in his lone at-bat in 1956 World Series. The hit came in Game 1 at Ebbets Field in what would be the last series ever played on those hallowed grounds.
