Bill Russell's 1988 Los Angeles Dodgers World Series Championship ring was presented to the former All-Star shortstop for his service as a coach for Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda. Russell would later serve as Dodger manager in the mid-1990's, capping what would be a 30-year career with the organization that included 18 years as the anchor of a Dodgers infield that ultimately became the longest intact group in MLB history. The 14K yellow gold ring has a single diamond inset on a blue back stone encircled by smaller diamonds. "World Champion Dodgers 1988" encircles the bezel. One side displays the "LA" logo with "Russell" above and his No. 18 below. The other side has the Dodgers script logo above a rendering of a World Series trophy in relief. Marked "Balfour 14K" on the interior band, the Size 11-1/2 ring shows minimal wear. This is an undeniably important Championship ring from the Series that is best remembered for Kirk Gibson's dramatic pinch-hit, game winning home run in the bottom of the ninth inning off Oakland relief ace Dennis Eckersley in Game 1 at Dodger Stadium. All elements appear to be in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition.

Includes a Letter of Authenticity from Bill Russell.
