Directly from the family estate collection of Barney Stein comes this PSA/DNA Type 1 original photograph of longtime managers Joe McCarthy of the New York Yankees and Wilbert Robinson of the Brooklyn Dodgers taken in April 1932. "Uncle Robbie" stepped down after the 1931 season after 18 seasons at the helm, so this was likely one of the last reunions of the two rival Hall of Fame skippers. Snapped by Stein before a preseason exhibition game at Ebbets Field, it has a pencil description on the reverse above an official Barney Stein red stamp. The 92-year-old photo is heavily worn and aged on the right side and corners, with a small section missing from the bottom right. The image quality remains high, though, with no major surface issues affecting the two subjects.
