Featured in this lot is a game used ball from the New York Yankees vs. Kansas City Royals game on August 15, 2008 during the final season in historic Yankee Stadium. The OML (Selig) ball has a special graphic honoring the 86-year run and final season of The House That Ruth Built. The well-soiled ball is dual-signed by legendary teammates Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera in matching 7/10 blue ballpoint on the same panel as the commemorative Yankee Stadium graphic. The Yanks fell 4-3 that night as Jeter went 3-for-4 with a run scored and one driven in. Rivera, who finished the '08 season with a 1.40 ERA and a ridiculous 77:6 strikeout-to-walk ratio, actually took the loss. The ball shows appropriate evidence of game use and contains two holograms from Steiner, one generic for the autograph and one for its game use (45162). Additional hologram from MLB Authentication (LH145049). Full LOA from PSA/DNA (AG01401).
