In 1980, Angelo Dundee was feted by the prestigious Touchdown Club of Washington, D.C. and presented with that club's annual "Timmie" Award for his lifetime achievement in the sport of boxing. The award is presented here in the form of a 17-inch trophy featuring a 10-inch youthful football figure ("Timmie") affixed along the top of a black wooden base. Mounted on the front of the base are two engraved plates. The larger reads "Outstanding Contribution to Boxing," with the smaller one, located directly below, reading “Angelo Dundee." All elements of the trophy are in Nr-Mt and problem-free condition. A 5-by-7-inch color photo of Dundee receiving the award is included in the lot.
Comes with Letter of Authenticity from the Dundee Family.
