About as unusual and intriguing boxing artifact as you'll see: from Angelo Dundee's personal collection comes a sterling silver teaspoon set of 12 in original presentation box. The 4 3/4-inch spoons feature an intricate pattern throughout and a boxer figure of about 1 inch at each end. Described as teaspoons, the actual surface area of the collectible spoons seems likely closer to about half of that of a traditional kitchen teaspoon. The spoons are attractively arrayed across a cushioned satin display box that measures 13-by-7-inchs, with similarly cushioned top and hinged back and metal latches on the front. The teaspoon set was originally presented to Muhammad Ali in Malaysia; the spoons are in fine condition but show the kind of tarnish you might anticipate from sterling silver after several decades. The green, textured cover box shows considerable wear, including a small dent at the top, and the small hinges and latches show a touch of corrosion.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Dundee Family.
