Here are three spectacular works of original art, each created specifically to honor the legendary Angelo Dundee for his work in professional boxing, and each showcasing the equally legendary talents of three major figures in the sports art and comic art arenas. Acclaimed New York Daily News cartoonist Bill Gallo created this striking pen-and-ink drawing involving Dundee in the days prior to the 1979 Benitez and Sugar Ray Leonard bout in Las Vegas; the drawing is 111/2-by-91/4 inches and is signed twice by Gallo (his traditional spot on the artwork and in the margins below with an inscription "To my Friend, Angelo - The Champ of Champions." The work is nicely matted and framed to 15-by-12 inches, all of which is in Excellent-Mint and problem-free condition. The second piece of original art is by the great Charlie McGill, whose sports art and cartoons appeared in the New Jersey Record for nearly a half century. The Angelo Dundee original pen-and-ink and brush wash drawing is done on a 14-by-18-inch textured board, and like the Gallo artwork dates to circa 1979 and the period of the Leonard triumphs of the period. The "Manager of the Year" artwork is in essentially as-issued and virtually problem-free condition. The final piece is a pen-and-ink drawing by Steve Moore, famed creator of the syndicated "In the Bleachers" comic art series. It is signed by Moore on the artwork itself and at the top with the inscription "To Angelo, Steve Moore, 'In the Bleachers'" and the 7-by-8-inch pen-and-ink drawing is nicely matted and framed to an overall dimension of 13-by-15 inches.

Comes with an LOA from the Dundee Family.
