Presented here is Boston Red Sox southpaw David Price’s game worn Mother's Day jersey that he wore on May 8, 2016. The Sox prevailed over their rival New York Yankees, 5-1, that day. Price went 17-9 in his first season in Beantown, throwing an A.L.-best 230 innings. It wasn't until this past October, however, that he earned himself a place in the hearts of Red Sox Nation forever, knocking out Kershaw and the Dodgers in the Game 5 clincher of the World Series.
On the front left tail of the gray jersey is a “Majestic Authentic Collection" manufacturer’s tag that reads, “FLEXBASE” and “SIZE 48" with an MLB hologram sticker affixed. On the left inseam is a materials tag with washing instructions. Across the chest reads “BOSTON” in red on navy blue tackle twill and on the back is Price’s uniform number “24” in similar fashion. On the left chest area is a pink embroidered ribbon in honor of Mother’s Day. On the rear outside collar rests the official “MLB” logo, also in pink. On the left sleeve is a “Majestic” logo embroidered with the iconic Red Sox logo sitting above it. The jersey is in immaculate condition.
