May 18, 1950 typed letter signed by Brooklyn Dodger President Branch Rickey on team letterhead sent to a fan. Rickey tells the fan that he has heard what "a loyal Dodger fan" she is and tells her he is sending her a 1949 team picture as well as some Dodger stickers to "advertise the fact that you root for the Brooklyn Dodgers". Strong 9/10 looking black fountain tip pen ink signature. Letter itself in nice shape with a small 3/8" area of toning across the top edge and a pair of 1" by about 1/8" strips of clear tape on top back. Also included is an original 7" by 10" portrait wire photo of a much younger Branch Rickey. Photo has a couple of creases at the top edge along with one 1/2" vertical tear.
