Presented here is a standout 2009 jersey game-worn by Phillies slugger Ryan Howard, the 2005 Rookie of the Year who has anchored the Phillies powerful lineup for more than a decade. In 2006, he was the National League’s home run champion and Most Valuable Player and in 2008 he helped lead the Phillies to the club’s first World Series triumph in 28 years. He is a member of the 50 Home Run Club and was the fastest player (no. of games) to reach both the 100 and 200 home run milestones. In 2009, Howard hit 45 jacks and drove in an NL best 141 runs as he helped the Phils to their 2nd straight NL pennant before falling to the Yankees in the Fall Classic. According to documentation from the Phillies, Howard wore this jersey on April 7, 2009 in a 4-0 loss at home to the Braves. He went 2-4 in the ballgame.

The home pinstripe shirt has the famed scripted “Phillies” across the front in red chenille atop white twill (with blue chenille stars). Howard’s No. 6 is on the back and left sleeve in red-on-white tackle twill, as is his name on the back which is affixed directly to the shirt. The iconic MLB logo patch appears at the back of the collar and the Phillies’ embroidered World Series patch is affixed to the right sleeve. Howard has signed along his number on the back in black Sharpie, adding his No. 6 inscription. Majestic Authentic tagging appears on the front left tail (Size 54) with Majestic “Cool Base” flag tag along the seam. Garment shows light game use and is problem-free and without visible alteration of any description.

Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Phillies’ charity. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
