At just 29, Aaron Judge has quickly become one of the bright, new stars in the Major Leagues. During his first season in the majors with the Yankees, he was unanimously voted American League Rookie of the Year and placed second in the selection for the American League’s MVP the same year. Judge is also the first and only rookie to ever win the Home Run Derby during All-Star Weekend.
Offered for the first time to the public comes this milestone and important game worn jersey from Judge's first home runs againt the Yankees AL rival Red Sox. This gamer was signed and inscribed by Judge during his record breaking rookie season. The most unique aspect of this game worn treasure is that it was worn on April 26th and 27th during Yankee victories against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway. Judge's first bomb at Fenway was a two-run bomb in the top of the 2nd and the Yankees would be victorious by a score of 3-1. During the second match up at Fenway on the 27th, Judge would end up 0-3 but the Yanks would go on to win by a final score of 3-0. The gray road jersey features ‘NEW YORK’ plastered on the front with Judge’s number ‘99’ on the back in navy and white tackle twill. MLB logo is in navy, white and grey on the upper back neck. The bottom front left tail has the screen printed majestic size 52 Flexbase tag. Below the Majestic tag is NY Yankees Barcode tag and vertically along the buttons an additional Majestic screen-print tag that reads "2017 52T +2B." Judges signature sits at the top of the first ‘9’ on the back and is inscribed “First Career HR Verse Boston 4-26-17” in the middle and “2017 AL ROY”, at the bottom. This jersey has a Fanatics and MLB hologram affixed and Beckett has authenticated Mr. Judge's autograph. Advanced Yankees collectors will be hard pressed to find milestone homers vs. Boston, let alone at Fenway from a legacy player like Judge during his rookie of the year campaign any where else.
