Originally recruited by Rick Pitino in high school, Anfernee Simons opted to decommit from University of Louisville due to the basketball program’s prostitution scandal (smart move, kid!) and ended up skipping college altogether. Since the Trail Blazers drafted him with the 24th overall pick in 2018, the now 23-year-old has steadily improved every year and is one of the NBA’s rising young guns. This season Simons has helped Portland get off to one of the best starts in the league, averaging 23 points and four dimes per contest. In 2021, the Blazers 6’ 3” shooting guard competed in the Slam Dunk Contest at All-Star Weekend in Atlanta and emerged victorious with a plethora of high-flying, acrobatic throwdowns.

Offered here are the kicks Simons wore in his epic Dunk Contest triumph with conclusive photo-matching evidence courtesy of MeiGray. The red and black Nike Zoom “Kobe 6” player model sneakers with a unique rubber spotting pattern come in size 13.5 with interior tagging that indicates a “7/15/20” to “11/04/20” manufacturing date range. Simons autographed the right shoe and inscribed "2021 Slam Dunk Champ" on the left one in black marker. The shoes exhibit appropriate light wear for such a brief event and gave the high-flier all the lift he needed to win it. They are accompanied by a MeiGray LOA with a large printed image of the event contest photo used to match them. Autograph and inscription certified by Beckett.
