Featured here is a unique opportunity to own a special piece of Formula One memorabilia: a pair of 2018 race worn gloves from seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton.
Framed in an attractive 3D display case, this piece celebrates the legendary British driver's fifth world title in 2018, a dramatic season billed as the "Fight for Five" when Hamilton's Mercedes team and Sebastian Vettel's Ferrari squad, tied at four world titles apiece, battled it out. In the end, a dominant stretch of six wins in seven races in the latter half of the season clinched number five for the famous #44 Mercedes car. Hamilton would go on to win two more world titles in 2019 and 2020 -- a remarkable run of four straight -- to tie Germany's Michael Schumacher at seven career world titles. Hamilton's 103 career F1 victories are now 12 more than Schumacher's 91, perhaps giving him bragging rights as F1's G.O.A.T.
The deep box frame is constructed of genuine carbon fiber with a blown-up image of Hamilton in the background in his race suit. The fireproof racing gloves are made by Puma with the brand's orange tagging on the inner wrist indicating a 2018 date of manufacture (visible at angle from outside the Plexiglas). The white gloves are branded with Lewis Hamilton's unique V-shaped logo (interpreted as a panther emerging from the shadows) and his IWC Schauffhausen watch sponsor. Both gloves exhibit visual evidence of wear with slight off-white discoloration. According to Elite Exclusives -- the Buckingham, UK-based memorabilia company that procured them under contract with Hamilton, these gloves are FIA-approved with official holograms and the correct labels for Lewis Hamilton personal race gear.
Mounted on the back of the framed case is an Elite Exclusives COA with a numbered hologram (001018). The frame measures 19" tall by 23" wide by 4.5" deep. Weight is 10 pounds (4.5 kg) for a relatively safe and easy shipment.
