Cuba mega-talent Yasiel Puig burst onto the scene in mid-June of the 2013
season and promptly tore up big league pitching with 19
homers, 66 runs scored, 42 RBI and a .319 batting
average. His arrival began a streak of six straight N.L. West Division crowns for the Los Angeles Dodgers. If not for the relentless Red Sox, Puig's clutch 3-run bomb to briefly break open Game 4 in the 2018 Fall Classic would have made him the toast of the town.
2015 was an injury-riddled campaign for the Dodgers right-fielder as he played in just 79 games and had 11 home runs and 38 RBI. Blue Nation again won the N.L. West that season with a 92-70 record. Offered here is Puig’s 34.5-inch, game used, two-toned Old Hickory Pro Maple bat (YP66). The bat exhibits dozens of ball mark impressions throughout the barrel as well as multiple bat rack marks. The barrel of the bat is stamped with his name in silver as well as “LDMX – 14063560 – YP18.” A blue team logoed sticker with Puig's No. "66" is affixed to the knob end. The bat’s handle is wrapped in blue tape that stretches for nearly 12 inches, covering a splintered crack. According to the MLB database, Puig broke this bat in an Aug. 25 road contest at Cincinnati.
