Cubs slugger Anthony Rizzo was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the sixth round of the 2007 MLB Draft and became a top minor league prospect in the Red Sox organization. He was traded to the San Diego Padres after the 2010 season along with three other prospects in exchange for All-Star first baseman Adrian Gonzalez. After being traded to the Cubs in 2012, he emerged into an All-Star player and fan favorite.

The offered bat was used by Rizzo during his breakout 2014 season. This impressive 34.4 inch, 31.6 ounce Marucci model Rizz 44 Anthony Rizzo professional model bat, with a cupped end, exhibits evidence of excellent use with a handle crack. Several ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the front, right and left barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Cleat marks can be seen on all sides of the barrel and there is a light coat of pine tar on the upper handle. The date of manufacture (03/20/14), Rizzo's number (44), length (4.0) and weight (2.0) are stamped into the knob. An Anthony Rizzo signature and his number '44' are on the front barrel in silver marker. Includes a LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (Grade GU9). Autograph Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
