Trevor Hoffman is widely regarded as one of the greatest closers in baseball history, as his 601 career saves are second all time only to the legendary Mariano Rivera. The longtime Padres pitcher has his number 51 retired with the team and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2018. He twice was runner-up for the National League Cy Young award, something that relievers are very rarely in contention for.
Offered here is a game-used Hoffman jersey uniform from the final season of his career with the Milwaukee Brewers. The game was played on July 23, 2010, and the Brewers emerged victorious over the Washington Nationals by a 7-5 score. The uniform is accompanied by an LOA from the Brewers, as well as being authenticated as game-used by MLB.
