The 2007-08 Boston Celtics made a quick return to championship contender after acquiring perennial All-Stars Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett prior to the season to pair with incumbent star Paul Pierce. The "Big Three" led Boston to a 66-16 record in the regular season, marking the biggest single-season turnaround in NBA history (from 24-58 in 2006-07). In the Finals, the Celts met their longtime cross-country foes from Los Angeles and prevailed over Kobe's Lakers in six hard-fought games to capture the franchise's first title since 1986.

An important role player for Boston during their 2007-08 title run was veteran guard Sam Cassell, who began the season with the Clippers and joined the Celtics in March '08 a month before the playoffs began. "Sam I Am" gave Doc Rivers a spark off the bench and saw action in 21 of 25 postseason games. Offered here is the home Celtics jersey Sam Cassell wore during Game 2 and Boston's clinching Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals. After the champagne celebration wearing this very jersey (which appears to have a stain of some bubbly on the lower front), Cassell would retire and go out on top with his third and final championship. Interestingly enough, his first two titles came with the Houston Rockets in his first two NBA seasons way back in 1994 and '95.

The white knit jersey is properly tagged by Adidas on the left front tail. Attached there are manufacturer labels including size "48", the NBA and Celtics logos, "LENGTH +4" and "2006-2007" (a carry-over since Cassell joined the team late in the season). Across the front is "CELTICS" flanked above by two embroidered NBA logo and NBA Finals patches. Front and back is a large player No. "28" and across the back is “CASSELL”. Above the NOB is the team's Shamrock logo patch. All letters and numbers come in green tackle twill. The jersey exhibits strong wear throughout and even appears to have a champagne stain near the tagging from the postgame celebration!

Accompanied by a Meigray LOA photomatching it to Game 2 of the Finals. Also includes LOA from Sam Cassell stating it was worn in Game 6.
