In his heyday, Darren Sproles was arguably the most versatile and exciting player in the entire NFL. The running back, receiver and return specialist finished his 3-time Pro Bowl career with nine combined kickoff/punt return touchdowns to go along with 8,392 yards from scrimmage (3,552 rushing + 4,840 receiving) and 64 total TD's. Drafted in the 4th round out of Kansas State by the San Diego Chargers in 2005, Sproles spent his first five seasons with the Bolts, becoming a fan favorite and Philip Rivers' most dangerous weapon out of the backfield. He would eventually link up again with Drew Brees in New Orleans (after being Charger teammates in '05) where the 5' 6" speedster had the finest three-year stretch of his 14-year career.

Offered here is a 2008 Darren Sproles San Diego Chargers helmet that we have photo-matched to training camp  (https://www.instagram.com/p/Bf9ZgBwnv9w/?next=%2F) and was most likely used during the 2008 preseason. The white Schutt helmet features lightning bolt decals on both sides and his uniform No. "43" affixed to the rear along with CHARGERS", NFL shield logo and warning label stickers. A blank white sticker covers the Schutt logo as required by the NFL whose exclusive license was with Riddell. Within the interior padding is a Schutt sticker with "Mar. 08" noted to indicate its manufacturing date. The outer shell exhibits outstanding wear with paint transfers and scratches throughout, while the navy facemask has gashes and gouges from hard contact. The helmet is missing its chinstrap but comes with everything else intact and remains in great shape.
