Clayton Kershaw is, simply put, the best young pitcher in the game. Once again, the L.A. Dodgers dominant southpaw put up eye-popping numbers this year by going 21-3 during the regular season with 239 strikeouts and posting an ERA of just 1.77. This lot features a Dodgers 2008 game-worn road jersey from Kershaw, from the then-up-and-comer’s rookie season. That year he broke into the majors with a 5-5 record and collected an even 100 strikeouts. The rookie season jersey shows minor game use and is problem free, with blazing Dodger blue tackle twill scripted "Los Angeles" angled across the chest and red tackle twill No. 22 on the chest. The Majestic tag with Size 50 appears on the front-left tail above a slightly faded Dodgers 2008 equipment tag; the small Majestic "Cool Base" tag appears on the left seam. "KERSHAW," and his No. 22 on the back and the Dodger's "LA" interlocking letters logo on the left sleeve are all in blue tackle twill; in addition, a specially embroidered patch celebrating the team’s 50th Anniversary since moving to Los Angeles appears on the right sleeve. The Majestic embroidered blue logo is on the left sleeve beneath the "LA" logo. Now that he’s a multiple Cy Young Award winner, Kershaw’s stock continues to rise.
