Offered here is a significant Alex Rodriguez game bat used to hit his 493th career home run, tying him with Lou Gehrig (28th All-Time) on the all-time list. A-Rod inscribed the barrel “Alex Rodriguez, Game used 7-6-07, HR #493, Tying Lou Gehrig” in immacularte 10/10 silver paint pen for a stunning contrast against the black-painted lumber. Rodriguez belted No. 493 off L.A. Angels hurler Chris Bootcheck in the bottom of the sixth inning on July 6, 2007 at Yankee Stadium. The “C271L” Model Louisville Slugger exhibits numerous markings of game use including a crack in the upper handle and plenty of ball contact and cleat marks. The weight of the bat (31.5) is written in silver on the knob. The bat is authenticated by John Taube of PSA/DNA and was given a nearly perfect GU 9.5 rating. It also comes with a personal LOA signed by Alex Rodriguez himself and the autograph has been pre-certified by Beckett.
