The 2006 St. Louis Cardinals concluded their first season in new Busch Stadium in grand fashion, wrapping up their 10th World Series title on their home turf with a 4-2 victory over the Tigers in front of a raucous crowd. The jubilation and exchanged tributes endured throughout the winter and spring, culminating with the presentation of World Series rings to the players, selected executives and elite Cardinals dignitaries. The perimeter of this stunningly opulent award features the declaration, "St. Louis Cardinals…World Champions." The traditional Cardinals franchise logo is gloriously rendered in a sea of precious stones. More precisely, the interlocking "St. L" is expressed by 36 rubies, surrounded by more than 40 real diamonds. The left shank identifies the ring’s original recipient -former MLB catcher and the club's minor league manager  Dann James "Bilardello" along with an impressive raised image of the new Busch Stadium. In equally sharp relief, the right shank proclaims "2006," a Cardinals logo, and celebration of the team’s "Tenth World Series Title." Crafted by Intergold Limited (of Calgary), the base material of the ring is 10K gold, stamped as such in the band. The size 13 ring remains in perfect original condition, as issued, in its custom 10-by-7-inch black presentation box with clear acrylic pane on the top and etched "St. Louis Cardinals 2006 World Champions." Weight: 62 grams.
