The 2005 Pittsburgh Steelers season was the franchise's 73rd season in the NFL. They rode a four-game winning streak into the playoffs and finished the regular season at 11-5, good for a wild card spot. After dispatching the Cincinnati Bengals 31-17 in the Wild Card round, the Steelers eked out a hard-fought 21-18 victory over Peyton Manning and the top-seeded Indianapolis Colts in the Divisional Round. Pittsburgh dismantled the Denver Broncos 34-17 in the AFC Championship game to set up a Super Bowl appearance against the Seattle Seahawks. The game is best remembered for a record 75-yard touchdown run by Willie Parker, and a 43-yard touchdown pass from Antwaan Randle El to Hines Ward, the first TD pass from a wide receiver in Super Bowl history.

Offered is the first Super Bowl ring won by the Steelers in 26 years, and the one that helped the franchise join the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys as the only teams with five Super Bowl victories. The 14k gold staff ring is identical to the ones given to players like Ben Roethlisberger and Hines Ward. The face of the ring proudly displays all five Lombardi trophies and the Steelers logo, with plenty of real diamonds and other precious gems studded throughout. "Pittsburgh Steelers" reads above and below the face, while rows of diamonds show the same thing on the left and right of the face. The left shank has the NFL logo beneath the name "JONES" and above the name "KALVIN." The right shank has the Super Bowl XL logo beneath the game's score and above the year "2005." The inside of the band is stamped "JOSTENS14K." The size 11 ring weighs 50 grams.
