The 1998 New York Yankees won more games, including the postseason, than any team in major league history. The Yankees finished 125-50 after an 11-2 romp through October that included a sweep of the Padres in the World Series. They won the A.L. East by 22 games and led the majors in runs and the A.L. in ERA. Fronting one of the most balanced lineups in history, Bernie Williams led the team in batting average (.339), Derek Jeter in runs (127) and Tino Martinez in homers (28). Ten players hit at least 10 homers, and six had at least 149 hits. Their remarkable season featured the franchise’s first regular-season perfect game (by David Wells) and the first since Don Larsen’s in the 1956 World Series. Wells (18-4) was one of five starters to win at least 12 games. David Cone’s 20-7 record led the staff. Astonishingly, from April 5-August 24, the Yankees didn’t lose more than two consecutive games.

Offered is a World Series championship ring presented to former major leaguer and Yankees coach Rich Monteleone. The ring is made of solid 10K yellow gold by Balfour. The ring features the New York Yankees iconic interlocking "NY" encrusted with .24 carats of sparkling natural diamonds on a blue stone and surrounded with .48 carats of natural diamonds, bringing the total carat weight to .72 carats of natural sparkling brilliant diamonds. The ring is inscribed on one shank with “125-50” (the Yankees’ wins / losses for the entire year), along with the Yankees logo and the words “BEST EVER” indicating it was the most wins ever compiled by a major league team in one season. The other shank features the name "MONTELEONE" along with the World Series trophy in the center of Yankee Stadium and the word “TRADITION” at the bottom. The size 13.5 ring is in excellent condition and weighs about 31.5 grams. Includes the original presentational box. This is a must-have ring for any die-hard New York Yankees fan.
