In 1998, during Big Mac and Slammin' Sammy's epic home run chase, the sight of one of these Herculean sluggers taking batting practice was perhaps a bigger draw for fans in attendance than the game itself. Offered here is a Mark McGwire practice jersey that he wore, presumably for BP, that season which is also blessed with his signature. The blood-red Majestic mesh shirt comes in McGwire's then-massive size 52 with his name and number on the back in white. The iconic Cardinals logo appears across the chest next to Mac's bold black Sharpie autograph with his "#25" inscribed. Displays light to moderate use and comes with a letter from his manager that season, Hall of Famer Tony La Russa. Tough to find any BP jerseys in the market, let alone from the guy who lit up the cages better than anyone.
