Easily one of the greatest hitters of the modern era, Tony Gwynn racked up a stunning eight National League batting titles and was a lifetime .338 hitter during his Hall of Fame career, which was spent entirely with his hometown Padres. This gray 1997 road jersey is all-original and shows light use. "Gwynn 19" is on the back and "San Diego" on the front. There is a Padres patch on the left sleeve and Jackie Robinson 50th Anniversary patch on the right sleeve. Russell size 52 tagging is on the front tail directly above small flag tags of fabric content and "2 Inches Extra Length." Gwynn has signed in silver Sharpie atop the "1" on the blue tackle twill number on the back. The item shows no signs of repair or alteration.
