Hall of Fame hurler Tom Glavine enjoyed a long and steady career full of success with the Atlanta Braves, teaming with Greg Maddux and John Smoltz to form one of the greatest trios of starters any team has ever had on their roster for an extended time. With pinpoint control and impeccable mechanics, the southpaw won a total of 305 games over his 22-year career, which came to an end in 2008. As a hitter, he batted .186 and with just one career home run, but was one of the better sacrifice bunters in baseball.

This signed & inscribed Louisville Slugger P138 Pro Model bat was swung (and bunted) by Glavine during the 1996 season. It measures 34.5 inches and weighs 32.1 ounces and remains un-cracked with evidence of outstanding use. Slight checking (grain swelling) from repeated ball contact is on the back barrel. Numerous ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on all sides of the barrel. Ball marks include white leather scuffs. Cleat marks can be seen on the right and left barrel. Also visible on the bat are blue bat rack streaks. The lower handle has been taped in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip and there is a moderate coat of pine tar on the handle. Glavine's number ("47") is written on the knob in black marker. Glavine has signed and inscribed "To Mike Best Wishes" on the right barrel in gold marker.

Game used bats from Hall of Fame pitchers are very tough to find in the hobby, making this a unique fill for any serious bat collector. Includes LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA with perfect GU 10 grade. Autograph pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
