Dominique Dawes was spectacular for the USA Gymnastics Team during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, placing gold in the team event. Dawes is one of three women to compete at three Olympics for the USA Gymnastics Team. Dawes was also a pioneer for the sport, being the first African-American to win an individual medal in Olympic Gymnastics. Offered in this lot is her 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics USA Team Gold Medalist 10k gold ring.

The ring has a a green stone at the center of the face intricately encircled by design elements and lettering that reads: "1996 Olympic Team," with four 10-point real diamonds at the top and bottom of the year engravings. One shank has 'Dawes' in raised engraved all-caps letters above and XXVI Olympiad logo and "1996"; the other has "USA" the Olympic torch, "100, Atlanta 1996" and "1896." The only markings on the inside of the band are "Accr10K." The ring appears to be in essentially as-issued and problem-free condition. Size: 5.5
