The following four New York Yankees game used caps were donned by four key contributors during the team's dominant run from 1996 to 2000 when they won four championships in five seasons. Each has the iconic NY logo stitched on the front with the player's uniform number handwritten under the brim in black marker. The distinct New Era manufacturer's tagging was used to date each hat.

1)  1996-1999 Joe Girardi #25 shows heavy wear with significant perspiration inside around the entire sweat band. Size 7-3/8. Level of usage indicates it was worn under his catcher's mask for several weeks/months.

2) 1998-1999 Chuck Knoblauch #11 shows moderate to heavy wear with obvious signs of sweating inside. Size 7-1/8.

3) 1999 Scott Brosius #18 shows moderate wear with perspiration inside along the front of the sweat band. Size 7-1/2. The unique 1999 World Series logo patch on the left side indicates this was likely the one he wore during the '99 Fall Classic when the Yanks swept the Braves.

4) 2000 Denny Neagle #12 (attributed) shows heavy wear with significant perspiration inside around the entire sweat band. Size 7. It should be noted that Wade Boggs wore #12 from 1993-97 and Roger Clemens wore it in '99, but their hat sizes were significantly larger and this cap has a more modernized New Era tagging that post-dates those. (Clay Bellinger wore #12 in 2001 and Alfonso Soriano began wearing this number in 2002.)

The consignor of the Pinstripe Dynasty Collection attests to acquiring these caps through a source within the Yankees organization many years ago.
