This is an important jersey from the only player in MLB history to hit more than 60 home runs in three different seasons, en route to a lifetime total of 609. This Size 44 jersey commemorates Sosa's first of seven All-Star nods, all with the Cubs, and features the famed Cubbies bear patch on the left sleeve and the 1995 All-Star Game in Arlington, Texas on the right sleeve directly above the stitched Russell Athletic "R" logo. A white "21 44-95-2" tag appears on the back of the collar; the Russell Athletic tag appears on the front left tail, along with a tiny "100% Polyester" tag adjacent and below. Sosa has added a blue Sharpie autograph below his No. 21 on the front, along with inscriptions of No. 21 and "30-30" denoting his first of two seasons in that exclusive club. As he would soon join clubs with even greater exclusivity criterion, the temptation to risk injury stealing bases would limit his attempts for the remainder of his career. The jersey is nothing short of sensational and essentially problem free, showing virtually no fraying of any of the red, white or blue stitching on his embroidered name on the reverse, scripted "Cubs" on the front or his uniform numbers.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
