The 1993 Toronto Blue Jays came off of a championship season in ‘92 and showed no signs of slowing their role in the upcoming season. The Blue Jays proved that they hadn’t lost a step during the offseason and finished the ‘93 season with a 95-67 record, asserting themselves as the best team in the American League. The playoffs began with a matchup against the Chicago White Sox, which came to an end after six games with a Toronto win to move on to the World Series. Up next was the Philadelphia Phillies, coming in hot after beating the Atlanta Braves after six games. The Blue Jays and Phillies battled back and forth until game six when Toronto had the series lead, 3 games to 2. In the bottom of the ninth, Joe Carter was up to bat with a 2-2 count and smashed a 3 run home run to left field to lead his team to victory for the second year in a row. He became just the second player ever to end the World Series with a home run behind, Bill Mazeroski of the Pirates.

Offered here is a 1993 Toronto Blue Jays World Champions watch with its portfolio by Tiffany & Co. The gold electroplated watch features a face with the Blue Jays logo at the center surrounded by the text “WORLD CHAMPIONS” and “1993” with a black background. This wonderful piece appears in excellent condition, showing signs of only minor wear and scratching. The fully functional timepiece commemorates the back-to-back world champion Blue Jays for their amazing efforts during the 1993 MLB season.
