Easily one of the greatest hitters and most likeable ballplayers of the modern era, Tony Gwynn racked up a stunning eight National League batting titles and was a lifetime .338 hitter during his Hall of Fame career, which was spent entirely with his hometown San Diego Padres. This white with navy pinstripes 1992 home Padres jersey shows great wear with sweat and dirt stains throughout. 'GWYNN' and '19' adorn the back with 'PADRES' across the front. There is a 1992 All-Star Game patch on the left sleeve as the Summer Classic was played at Jack Murphy Stadium that year. Russell size 48 tagging is on the front left tail. Gwynn has signed the front in silver/gray felt pen just below the front letters. There are no signs of repair or alteration. The jersey was originally part of the Barry Halper Collection.
