Derek Jeter was a highly-touted prospect out of high school, winning USA Today's 1992 High School Baseball Player of the Year among other awards. He somehow managed to fall all the way to the New York Yankees at the sixth pick of the 1992 MLB draft. The rest is history for Jeter's 20-year career in pinstripes. He was a five-time World Series champion with the Yanks, getting inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on his first ballot in 2020. This 1992 Little Sun High School example is one of Jeter's earliest cards and was graded Mint 9 by PSA. The card offers a very clean surface and is very colorful. The young Jeter is pictured in his Kalamazoo Central High School uniform, ready to field a ground ball.
