In an extraordinary career of 24 seasons divided almost equally between Boston and Chicago, Carlton Fisk socked 376 home runs and guaranteed himself a bit of immortality in Cooperstown as one of the greatest backstops in the history of the game. This blazing white game-worn White Sox jersey comes from Year 23 of that epic career, a monster artifact made even more spectacular with the inclusion of brisk Fisk signature in silver Sharpie atop the "7" of his No. 72 on the back. The shirt has Russell Athletic tagging on the front-left tail, withe "92 Set 1" smaller tag below and adjacent fabric content flag tag. The shirt shows light game use and virtually no fraying of the stitching surrounding the tackle twill front or back, save only for some visible on the small "Black Diamond" patch on the left sleeve. The shirt shows no signs of repair or alteration.
