Presented in this lot is a 1992-93 Boston Celtics road jersey issued to and likely used by Kevin McHale in his final NBA season. The mesh pullover jersey by Champion dons a black memorial band on the left shoulder honoring longtime Celtics announcer, Johnny Most who passed away in January of '93. The size 46 Champion tagging can be noticed on the front left tail of the jersey. All tagging matches other exemplars and the sizing is correct for McHale in his final season. The jersey shows evidence of laundering and game wear. Several loose threads and significant puckering on the tags confirm multiple washes from reuse. Careful examination results in no alterations to this original 1992-93 McHale jersey. McHale had an illustrious NBA career with the Celtics, winning three championships (1981, 1984, 1986) and receiving All-Star Honors seven times. He also received the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year Award in 1984 and 1985. During his final season, McHale averaged 10.7 PPG, 5 RPG, and 1 APG.
