During the 1992-93 NBA season and in his third NBA season, Gary Payton started 78 games for the Seattle SuperSonics and averaged 13.5 points and five assists as he began to mold himself into one of the league's premier point guards. This lot features Payton’s game worn and dual-signed Nike Air Flight shoes from that breakout campaign that would lead into a run of 11 All-Star appearances in 12 seasons.

The size 13 shoes are accurately tagged (93-01-12-PCPS) under the tongues. They come in white with green and black trim and read “Flight” across both tongues in green and “NIKE AIR” across the back of both shoes, also in green. The shoes, which appear to be sporting their original white laces, show moderate wear throughout. Payton signed both shoes in green pen on the toe area and added “#20” to the right one. The pair has impeccable provenance having been sourced from his longtime head coach.

Includes LOA from former NBA player Coby Karl, son of former SuperSonics coach George Karl. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autos).
