Ask any adult male over age 30 or so who is the greatest athlete they have ever seen and the most likely answer you'll get is Bo Jackson. With somewhat overlapping and abbreviated professional careers in baseball and football, the Heisman Trophy winner never hit 40 home runs or rushed for 1,000 yards, but for the better part of a giddy decade, he was the man. Actually, The Man. Everybody stopped to watch Bo at the plate, in the outfield or taking a handoff ... or making a television commercial pointing out just precisely what "Bo Knows." Here then is a jersey from Bo's first year as a member of the Chicago White Sox, a blazing black road jersey showing good game use but otherwise problem free. The Size 48 jersey has Rawlings tagging on the front-left tail with adjacent "T" embroidered white on black tag and "Set 2 1991." There is minimal fraying of any of the silver stitching front or back; the Comiskey Park Inaugural Year patch appears on the right sleeve. The pants also show good game use, along with Rawlings Size 34 tagging on the waistband adjacent to a long strip tag with embroidered "91 34-35 29 Jackson,: and another tiny tag with "Set 2 1991." Not often that you get a chance to bid on apparel that could have come directly from Mount Olympus.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
