ADDENDUM: Bat grade listed in catalog is inaccurate. GU 9.5 is correct.

Awesome 1990s gamer swung by perennial batting champ Tony Gwynn during the height of his Hall of Fame career. "Mr. Padre" was arguably the best pure hitter in baseball history. With eight National League batting titles to his credit and a career .338 average, Gwynn was an easy first-ballot Hall of Fame inductee into Cooperstown in 2007. In 20 different MLB seasons, he never struck out more than 40 times in any one campaign. He was also a perennial All-Star Game selection and started in 15 Mid-Summer Classics.

This Louisville Slugger Tony Gwynn professional model C263 bat is un-cracked with evidence of excellent use. Several ball marks are visible on all sides of the barrel. Ball marks include black ink transfers. Blue and orange bat rack streaks can be seen on the handle and barrel. The lower handle and knob have been taped in a spiral pattern and there is a moderate coat of pine tar on the handle. Gwynn's player number (19) and the model number (C263) are written in black marker on the knob and top of the barrel. Also appearing on the knob is the length and weight (33, 30-1/2) also written in black marker. Comes from an esteemed Padre and Gwynn collector. Includes LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA with a nearly perfect GU 9.5 grade.
