The blockbuster trade of the “Great One” from Edmonton to Los Angeles in 1989 paid off immediately for both Wayne Gretzky and the Kings as they qualified for the playoffs and Gretzky won the MVP Award. In LA, Gretzky was able to push his career numbers further than any other player in NHL history and cement his reputation as the greatest hockey player of all time. This Type 1 photo captures Gretzky in action circa the early 1990s. The image has been printed to its edges and shows some edge wear along with surface abrasions. The reverse has the Agfa paper hallmarks as well as the remains of adhesive tape. The photograph measures 8” x 10” and has been encapsulated and graded a Type 1 by PSA.
