This handsome 14K gold New York Mets money clip was presented to members of the Mets organization to commemorate the 1986 World Championship team. This 1986 Mets team completed the season with an unbelievable 108-54 regular season record, enough to win the division title. No doubt, the 1986 Mets were the favorites for many to win the World Series after running through the NLCS in 6 games. The Red Sox proved to be formidable opponents, taking the Mets to 7 games. The Mets had too much in the tank and ended up winning the series at Shea Stadium by an 8-5 margin. This would be the Mets last World Series championship to date.
The 14K money clip has "METS" in the teams classic cursive typography raised on the face. Stamped on the rear is "1986 World Champs" around the top and "THANKS" in the center. Very clean looking piece with limited wear, EX-MT.
