The 1985 Los Angeles Lakers are still considered one of the best teams ever assembled. With Magic Johnson, James Worthy and Kareem Abdul-Jabaar at the core of the Lake Show, no one could stop them. The all-time greats would lead the purple and gold to the NBA finals for another show down against the Boston Celtics.  The Lakers would go on to close the fridge on the Celtics in 6 games lead by Jabbar’s 25.7 points per game.
Featured here is a gorgeous salesman’s sample Abdul-Jabbar championship ring from that amazing run to the finals.  The ring exhibits very light wear throughout, it has “Abdul-Jabbar” on the shank just above the NBA logo surrounded by 1985.  “Purple Reign” is printed on the opposite shank just above the Lakers logo featuring a purple ball with the LA 4 BOS 2 printed below.  The Larry O’ Brien trophy is the center piece and is made up of one large CZ for the ball and 12 smaller CZ’s for the base. “Los Angeles Lakers World Champions” is in elevated gold lettering around the perimeter.  The 10K gold ring is size 12 and includes “LGB 10K” and “08674171-4” engraved on the inside of the band.
